By all counts, the show was a success! I met a lot of really interesting people and learned about what the like to do in the way of hobbies and handicrafts, sold quite a few handmade items, and picked up a few new students. All-in-all, an enjoyable day! The fiber batts I worked so hard on were well-received. One lady, who doesn't even know how to spin or felt, bought four of them to put in a glass jar because they thought they were so pretty! What a great idea! Next time I do a show, will have to remember to bring a glass bowl and display some that way. A special Thank You goes out to Michele who helped me so much yesterday, and to Zanna and Sue for providing carts to help load and unload our wares. Also Thank You to our fearless leader, Sue, because without all your hard work, this show could not have taken place. So now it's time to take a little breather and plan my samples for the Alderman Study group on May 17th. I'm weaving "fat" satin. |
