The old, rotting outdoor banners have been replace with new ones (upper left), made from colored and clear newspaper sleeves. Hopefully, these will last at least as long as the last set (two years). It's a delightful sight from the weaving studio window. Such bright and happy colors. Lower left is the most recent banner made from yarn and fabric (not plastic), which was installed in the Weaving Garden. It really brings that corner the garden to life and hangs just under the senna tree which is beginning to bloom again. I added a few crocheted flower motifs to this weaving for a bit more dimension. |
