Finally, some handwoven garments finished for yours truly! Had a little spare time before Saturday's show at The Wesley Gallery in Dripping Springs, and the weather is rainy so nothing can be done outdoors, so I thought why not work on turning some yardage into clothing? The sewing was a bit of a struggle -- difficult to keep the cut edges from unraveling, but I discovered a little trick while working with this fabric, which made it go a lot better. In the end, success. They both fit nicely. Will wear one to Kid 'N Ewe in Boerne, Texas, on Friday and the other to the Wesley show. |
